Jon Hamblen

Jon's career has numerous highlights but perhaps the most noteworthy was being named Velonews Amateur Racer of the year. Several times Jon has stood on the podium at the US Elite National Championships as well as finishing on the podium at the prestigious Univest Grand Prix. These accomplishments provided a springboard to Jon's professional career which included racing for teams such as Navigators, Nerac, West Virginia, Time and DLP.
Additionally, Jon has spent a great deal of time offroad racing for the Richard Sachs Cyclo Cross Team as well as competiing as a Semi-Pro mountain biker.
Currently, Jon splits time between racing for the DLP Pro Cycling Team and competing in duatholon.
"I stay home with my son all day and don't get to ride outside until 6:30pm, so I can relate to anyone who doesn't have all day to ride a bike. My personal training regime involves a spin bike and a jogging stroller. I am not always at my strongest when I win races, sometimes it just takes knowing how to race. Tactics are a part of racing many coaches neglect. I have helped many riders learn the dynamics of racing and how to put themselves in a position to win."
--Jon on his personal coaching philosophy
