Welcome New Coach Kristy Lanier |
|
We are excited to announce that Kristy Lanier is joining our coaching staff.
Kristy is the owner of Dirtbean Ohana LLC. Café, Bike Shop, Training
Center and Inn in Marlinton, WV. She started racing bikes in 1997,
quickly reaching the elite level in 1998. Kristy comes from a running
and soccer background which she began at the age of 4.

Kristy is the owner of Dirtbean Ohana LLC. Café, Bike Shop, Training
Center and Inn in Marlinton, WV. She started racing bikes in 1997,
quickly reaching the elite level in 1998. Kristy comes from a running
and soccer background which she began at the age of 4. As an athlete
her entire life, during college at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, she
turned to a new sport, cycling. With the best riding conditions on the planet
and popularity of cycling in the islands, Kristy started racing both on
and off road. She is a category 2 road racer, elite mountain bike
racer and elite off-road triathlete. She has enjoyed many race
successes including Hawaii State Champion honors on and off road.
Upon moving to the mainland, Kristy continued racing in the NORBA
series with finishes in the top 25 in the Professional Women's
category. She also had the honor of representing the United States at
the Marathon Mountain Bike World Championships in France in 2006. As a
triathlete, Kristy’s success has been primarily off road finishing with
multiple top 10’s in the Xterra Series including Xterra World
Championships in 2003, the Xterra Series in 2008 and Southeast
Championships in 2009. 
Currently Kristy continues to race, coach, manage her business and
expand her health care offerings. She is studying Reflexology, Reiki,
Ayurvedic Medicine and Nutrition with the intention of offering her
clients a holistic, comprehensive experience incorporating mind, body
and spirit into an active, healthy lifestyle encouraging them to reach
full potential as individual and athlete.
